About A World With Water
Our Mission
As of 2025, 2.1 billion people—one in four globally—still lack access to safely managed drinking water. Of that, over 700 million lack even basic water services.
At A World With Water, our mission is to create just that—a world with water. A world where every person has access to clean, safe water, and no one is without this fundamental human right.
Our History
A World With Water began in 2013, when brothers Andrew and Connor were inspired by a school lesson on the global water crisis. Determined to make a difference, they've spent the last decade using class projects and other opportunities to raise funds and awareness for clean water initiatives.
Now, they’re taking that mission further—establishing A World With Water as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit to continue building a world where everyone has access to life’s most essential resource.
OUr Founders
Andrew Clemmensen
Andrew, a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, first brought the global water crisis to his family’s attention after learning about it in 5th grade. Together with Connor, he set out to make a difference—an effort that continued to grow over the years. In high school, Andrew expanded on their work through a class project where students created and presented mock NGOs, further developing the vision behind A World With Water. Today, Andrew works in consulting in Chicago, continuing to apply a problem-solving mindset to meaningful causes.
Connor Clemmensen
Connor, a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Business Administration, built on the early vision by pursuing a summer course in Social Entrepreneurship at Cornell University, where he learned practical tools for launching a nonprofit. While at Michigan, he also used A World With Water to raise funds for communities in Flint and Detroit, selling water bottles to support local partners. He now works in financial services in Chicago, bringing the same entrepreneurial spirit to his professional and philanthropic work.
